5 Folk Songs

Das Werk ist ein Auftrag der Phoenix-Konzerte des New York State Council. Ich stellte klar, dass ich eher dazu neige, Empfindungen zu vermitteln als unter dem Rahmen des „Folk Tale Project“ eine Geschichte zu erzählen. Es ist das Gefühl eines/einer Reisenden, Fremden, geografisch, zeitlich und kulturell, während er/sie nur durch seine/ihre Erinnerungen, Kenntnisse und Lieder einen neuen Punkt erreicht. Die Five Folk Songs haben mit Erkundung und Integration zu tun.

Folksong ist genau wie ein Kelch, Der immer wieder neu gefüllt wird. Der Duft des Weins ist unterschiedlich. Aus dem Kelch trinkt sie Muskateller, Glücklich oder traurig in ihrem erfüllten Herzen. Das ist auch unterschiedlich.

Die Five Folk Songs lassen sich als Beispiel hören. Sie werden feststellen, dass die Volkslieder vor allem wie Weinflaschen sind, Bartók, Brahms, Berio …, Komponisten, die ihre Gedanken und ihr Bewusstsein einschenken.

This work was commissioned by the Phoenix Concerts of New York State Council. I clarified that I tend to provide sensation, instead of telling a story under the frame of the “Folk Tale Project”. It’s the sensation of a traveller, stranger, geographical, temporal or cultural, while he/she reaches a new spot just with his/her memories, knowledges and songs. The work Five Folk Songs is about exploration and integration.

Folk song is just like the goblet. Every time it is refilled, the fragrance of wine is different. From the goblet she drinks Muscat. Happy or sad in her heart fulfilled? It is also variant.

The Five Folk Songs could be listened to paradigmatically. You may notice that essentially the Folk Songs are like the wine bottles, Bartok, Brahms, Berio…, composers pour their thinking and consciousness into.
