Work & Edition Details
These arrangements were created at the request of a cantor who wanted to sing Christmas carols with audience participation as an encore after a Christmas concert. The orchestration resulted from the available instrumentation. With the audience participation came the need to assign the melody to the soprano without any alteration. Some of the songs are orchestrated with single-part wind instrumentation. Here, these can also be simply cast, insofar as it does not affect the tonal balance.
