Ophelia’s Mad Scene by Gloria Coates is a contemporary work for Mezzo-soprano with texts from William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Hamlet, Act 4, Scene 5. It is part of the collection of 200 solo pieces written to celebrate the bicentenary of the Royal Academy of Music London in 2022 and was first performed at the Royal Academy on 28 June 2021 by Helen Corlett.
