Renaissance song by Pierre Cléreau for four-part mixed choir restored by Jacques BARBIER. Pierre Cléreau, active during the first half of the sixteenth century is best known for his masses or songs on poems by Pierre de Ronsard. He illustrates himself here with a song of truculent humor whose double meaning will not have escaped anyone. An appetite of living without restraint that we will bring closer to the song of Clément Janequin Celle which saw her husband all armed except the fly (in the collection ACJ Au joli jeu d'amour) evoking there also "the good piece of which she was fond". François Rabelais will make of it chapter 8 of his Tiers Livre! You will find here a short, alert, greedy piece, a light song written to entertain the singers and to rejoice the listeners, under cover of gastronomy by evoking other terrestrial foods.
