Work & Edition Details
This charming mass could be well performed by amateur choirs and orchestras. Stylistically, it is classified in the Early Classic. Fiorillos oeuvre is reminiscent of Johann Adolph Hasse, but also partly to Haydn and Mozart. The contemporary Johann David von Apell wrote about him: „Fiorillo had the talent of beautiful singing.“ In particular, this talent makes the mass a worthwhile rediscovery.
