Work & Edition Details
101 Impressive Drum Fills is an exclusive method about fills designed for drummers at intermediate to advance levels. This method’s objective is to allow the interpreter’s creativity to develop in the fascinating world of drum fills. To facilitate the monitoring of progress, this method has been structured depending on the level of complexity of these fills, starting with sixteenth-note figures, passing through sextuplets, and ending with thirty-second notes; in addition to a combination of the two. Most of these fills are created using pattern schemes that can yield an almost-infinite series of combinations. Based on our criteria, only the most interesting ones have been included. In addition to being structured from less to more figures per measure, it is also arranged by level of difficulty within each group of figures to make the interpreter’s learning as progressive as possible. The fingering for each of these fills has been included and can be modified to suit the interpreter’s preferences. This method also includes the 101 drum fills in audio format (mp3) with different listening options, either with or without a metronome. A medium speed has been set for these audio files so the interpreter can perceive the progression of each note as clearly as possible.
