24 Matinées for solo violin by Pierre Gaviniès (1728-1800). Gaviniès was a highly esteemed violinist in his day - Viotti supposedly nicknamed him 'The French Tartini' - and these 24 studies are invaluable for practising various aspects of violin technique including bowing and dexterity in the left hand.
