Jörg Widmann paraphrases Mendelssohn's famous wedding march from the Midsummer Night's Dream solo in this piece for violin solo. The paraphrase was actually written for a wedding that took place in Rome in 2016 and for which Jörg Widmann's sister, Carolin Widmann, performed the work for the first time.
