Work & Edition Details
This is the first modern edition of this major chamber music work for flute or violin, viola, and guitar from about 1823. The only known copy of the guitar part of its original edition was rediscovered and the work is now published here for the first time in our own day. In four movements: Larghetto, theme and variations, minuet and trio, and rondo. Lasting about 15-20 minutes in performance. Re-engraved, score and parts, edited directly from the original edition and with an introduction by Brian Jeffery. 28 pages score plus 40 pages parts. “Full of natural grace and charm . . . engaging melodies, pleasant contrasts, and interesting byplay among the parts . . .
