Work & Edition Details
Waters Beneath the Star is a pictorial exploration of the Major Arcana 'The Star'. With rich, flowing harmonies that depict the flow of water into both land and sea, and the small bursts of melody emerging from and melting into the overall soundscape creating small ripples in the sound while adding an easily audible 'anchor point' to the piece, this is a still, yet stunning piece for string quartet. Originally written in 2021, first recorded in 2023.
