Work & Edition Details
Karin Haußmann's "War Song" is in dialogue with Joh. Seb. Bach's cantata "Keep us, Lord, at your word, and put a stop to your enemies' murder" BWV 126.' In 2017 - the year of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation - the Evangelical Church of Westphalia commissioned compositions under the motto 'Dialogues 2017'. Inspired by text, form or free associations, compositions were created as a "dialogue" to selected cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach. The "Kriegslied" (War Song) by Karin Haußmann is in dialogue with Johann Seb. Bach's cantata.
