Work & Edition Details
'Call is a short work, simple in its construction, yet amazingly poignant. Based on authentic military bugle calls, performed antiphonally, the Eastern Virginia Brass Trio has programmed this work on recitals a number of times. Each time audience members come to us and say how much this work meant to them. There is something that touches them! The Trio has also included an abridged version in their education concerts. With the students being in the middle of the bugle calls it never fails to include them in the music.' From Marlene Ford, who comissioned the work.
