Piano Sonatas, Vol. 2: Nos. 11-18 and No. 19

Volume 2 of Mozart's Complete Piano Sonatas sets out to establish a reliable text that brings out Mozart's performing style by drawing on all the relevant sources, foremost among which are the earliest printed editions and the composer's autograph scores. Valuable help in this direction was provided by earlier Urtext editions, especially the one by Max Pauer and Martin Frey, on whose findings the present editors have based their work. This volume contains the famous 'Rondo alla Turca' as well as the 'Sonata Facile' in C major.

Klaviersonaten, Band 2: Nr. 11–18 und Nr. 19 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozarts 19 Klaviersonaten gehören nicht zu seinen bekanntesten Werken, sind aber nicht minder anspruchsvoll oder ansprechend. Das Schreiben von Sonaten zieht sich durch sein gesamtes Leben, schon als Zehnjähriger komponierte er vier heute nicht mehr existente Sonaten. Das Besondere an ihnen ist, dass sie ein recht hohes spielerisches Niveau fordern, aber dabei, oder gerade deswegen, leicht klingen.In diesem Band ist die zweite Hälfte der Sonaten gesammelt, die von Carl Adolf Martienssen und Wilhelm Weismann hinsichtlich der Artikulation und der Aufführungspraxis aktualisiert wurden.
