Voyage en Chansons, Vol. 2

This second volume of Voyage en chansons is still based on orality. Indeed, the child learns to sing and play before reading. Thus, each essential notion in the training of the musician is approached in a sensory way through listening, the voice, the body and the instrumental realization. Adapted to the language of children, this book allows teachers to use it freely: 20 lessons are organised in an identical way, helping the pupil to find his way around easily: songs, intonation, rhythmic games and voice/percussion (body)/instrument ensembles. Group teaching is favoured. At the end of the book, each lesson has its own "At home" page. Families who wish to accompany their children in the discovery of songs from the musical heritage will find here as many memories to pass on as new things to discover. I wish everyone a pleasant musical journey, and that the practice will be the source of personal enrichment. PressIn the absence of volume 1, let us say that this volume 2 is very pleasant. Each of the twenty lessons is based on a well-known song, popular or folklore, and focuses on oral expression, leading on to reading and writing. Each lesson is organised in the same way so that pupils can easily find their way around. It favours group teaching and includes a series of "home" pages at the end to allow parents to continue the work done in class or in groups.
