Work & Edition Details
O Crux, ave spes unica is a sacred choral piece by Fernando Sor, for four voices. A moving and expressive work for Holy Week, Sor composed it probably in 1825 while he was in Russia and submitted it to the Vatican, when Pope Leo XII bestowed on Sor the Order of the Golden Spur, the Ordine dello Speron d’Oro. In choral format. Piano accompaniment supplied for practice purposes.
