Work & Edition Details
This Etude was composed using the technique of employing a common tone between chords. The note of Ab (or G#) is found in each chord and provides a useful relationship between the chords which obviates the need for traditional harmonic progression (although there are cross-relationships in some cases). Still, a harmonious arrangement is intended and the technique is only a means to a creative and hopefully pleasing result.
