Work & Edition Details
This score was scribbled in 2008 in the garden of a rented mini-chateau in France when one of our number (several families on holiday together) had a birthday. Composition had to be done in the garden in order not to give the game away, so couldn't be done anywhere near a piano. The music was successfully 'premiered' the following day by me and the other pianist present (1 piano, 4 hands). It starts as Bach's own take on Happy Birthday - but he seems to get bored towards the end and go a bit hillbilly... I have made all reasonable attempts to establish that the tune is now out of copyright, and it appears that, at last, it is. In any case, 99.9% of this is my own 'derangement', nobody else's. Enjoy, if you have nothing better to do...
