Work & Edition Details
This is an educational piece for children or adults of all ages to introduce the instruments of the orchestra and can be performed by chamber ensemble or with full orchestral strings. It tells a fantastical story about Haydn using the theme from his Surprise symphony and is both humorous and educational at the same time. It was selected by the Philharmonia in answer to an SPNM call for an educational work for their Elastic Band.
