Work & Edition Details
The composition is worked entirely in the tradition of the late 19th century. Late Romantic tendencies and techniques (key symbolism, harmony, tempi, dynamics) can be found in particular in the orchestral treatment - the organ is also partly used in this sense as a substitute for wind instruments - while the choir (also in the tradition of the time) is led in a simple homophonic movement oriented towards Bach or in a motet-like manner (ending).
