Work & Edition Details
Some passages (such as the beginning of the ‘Kyrie’) sound like pur Mozart…“ (Frankfurter Rundschau April 18th 1993). Mozart was just eleven years old when this work was written. It is known that he later occasionally played piano four hand with Marianna Martines. Among the various beauties of this mass, the alternation between solo and choral passages within the individual movements is worthy of mention. Scoring: strings, 2 Ob, 2 Tr, organ.
