First performed July 26, 2020 by Lorenzo Marasso, live streaming concert (1:11:00).
Kaleidoscopic Bach combines disassociated micro-quotes with a series of non-resolving suspensions, all extracted from J.S. Bach’s Invention and Sinfonia No. 9. These are aggressively re-voiced, while remaining in the key signature of F minor. This centrifugal redo of the Bach results in a controlled chaos inflected with my own compositional contributions.
