Work & Edition Details
Work for 3 equal voices a cappella, text and music by Dominique Cosaert, based on melodies by Igor Stravinsky and Erik Satie. Composed for the regional day 2021 of the Pôle ACJ des Hauts-de-France, which took place at Louvres-Lens, on the theme of "Picasso*, Satie, Stravinsky : regards croisés", this piece, written for women's choir, uses melodic elements from Éric Satie's 1st Gymnopédie for piano and the first notes of Igor Stravinsky's Sacre du Printemps, which are blended with a topical text. *Pablo Picasso drew a portrait of both composers. For for 3 equal voices a cappella. Performance time : about 4 minutes.
