Work & Edition Details
The 2 percussion pieces A.D.N. & L.O.L. were written with the aim of enabling first cycle students to get away from exercises and develop their sense of listening and dialoguing. In fact, percussionists are often alone behind all of their equipment and rarely have the chance (aside from orchestral classes) to play with another polyphonic instrument. These little chamber music pieces showcase percussive instruments, but also, with A.D.N, encourage appreciation of an accompanied melody and, with L.O.L., a rhythmically embellished accompaniment. They are intended for exams, evaluations, or for the simple pleasure of playing with accompaniment. They were written for the musician the percussionist is.
