Work & Edition Details
Composed, as the title suggests, for the 80th birthday of Alvin Lucier on May 14, 2011, At 80, Plus for Alvin Lucier by Christian Wolff is largely open in form and can be performed by any players, with variable duration. The performing score, published here as a facsimile of the autograph manuscript, consists of 14 short phrases to be performed in any sequence, followed by a 15th concluding phrase. In addition, all but one of the phrases may be performed in any clef or any transposition.
