Work & Edition Details
Choralpartita | Triptychon. The Te Deum, composed for Horst Schneider in 1984, was conceived entirely for the organ, but its layout is motet-like, which is why the texts of the hymn on which it is based (EG 191) are underlaid on the notes. The 6 small organ pieces are mainly studies in whole tone, while the triptych from 1985 with the movements Incarnatus, Crucifixus and Resurrexit again takes up spiritual themes. It was composed under the impression of a performance of Bach's Mass in B minor.
