Work & Edition Details
The cellist and composer Jean-Louis Duport taught at the Conservatoire de Paris for several years and, along with his older brother Jean-Pierre Duport, made a name for himself as one of the first cello virtuosos. From this wealth of experience, he put together a collection of etudes that are designed for teaching. Students of every ability level can benefit from the various exercises which aim to develop technique.
21 Etüden für Violoncello Der Cellist und Komponist Jean-Louis Duport lehrte einige Jahre am Conservatoire de Paris und machte sich mit seinem älteren Bruder Jean-Pierre Duport einen Namen als einer der ersten Cello-Virtuosen. Aus diesem Erfahrungsschatz stellte er eine Sammlung an Etüden zusammen, die für den Unterricht angelegt sind.
