"Marcel Tournier (1879-1951), composer and harpist, was a professor of harp at the Paris Conservatoire following Alphonse Hasselmans. He composed a great deal, but mainly for his instrument, the harp, most often alone, but sometimes in chamber music. Some of the Images, well known to harpists, have a harp and string quintet version, which we offer in this collection.
