Work & Edition Details
A work consisting of two movements: “Essence” and “Homage to Prometheus”. As the titles reflect, it is inspired by fire, one of the four elements of traditional cosmogonies in the West, present in all religions and mythical narratives that seek to provide an answer to the origin of the Universe and of humanity itself.
This work attempts to exploit the diverse possibilities and technical-expressive resources of the marimba, pushing it to greater interpretative and musical difficulty, while revealing its strongly rhythmic, virtuoso yet lucid nature.
