Work & Edition Details
Work by Arnaud Juliot for mixed choir composed in March 2017, on the last verses the hymn of lauds of St. Thomas Aquinas. The presence of Christ in the Eucharist is first treated with infinite gentleness, through of an aerial counterpoint that praises the act of Love that constituted his sacrifice. Follows a disturbing atmosphere suggested by tortuous patterns entangled in strette, in an incessant rise in intensity which leads to a bursting of the horizontal space. A writing whose implacable power creates a striking contrast with the first atmosphere towards which one returns progressively, in a feeling of fullness of an unreal sweetness. The average difficulty of execution of the work makes it accessible to amateur choirs.
