The English poet Elizabeth Barret (1806-1861), after having been sick and isolated for a long time, discovers love at the age of 39 in the person of Robert Browning. After their marriage, she lived fifteen years and left a rich work of love poems. The sonnet 43 "How Do I Love Thee? ", Taken from his work" Portuguese Sonnets ", is the most famous. As it lists all the ways she loves her husband, this poem is universal and can speak to anyone. This piece, composed by Nathalie BIARNES for her own wedding, is a choral anthem whose writing is close to the sound of American and Nordic composers of the 21st century: a melody that is both simple and gentle, carried by a warm and intense harmony.
