Work & Edition Details
Tonality tests play a major role in all of them. The subdivision of the tonal material in semitone steps corresponds to the subdivision in eighth-note intervals in the horizontal direction. Individual aspects of rhythmic, melodic, harmonic or tonal nature are in the foreground in the respective pieces, their study character cannot be denied. However, the actual reason for the creation of all five compositions was the birth of my children, and thus, despite their study character, completely different aspects of the individual compositions come to the fore, such as joie de vivre, tonal growth, lyrical parleying, etc.
