Work & Edition Details
Light work for xylophone (or marimba) intended for the intermediate student or being able to serve as encore at the end of recital. (Lasted: approximately 2 ' 30). In Japan a "utage", is a group of friends that meets to party. This evening there everything is allowed, we sing and dance, we enjoy ourselves there. In this work I wanted to tell a "utage": we sing it a Japanese song, followed by a fast, stressed and becoming dance, in the drunkenness of the feast, completely disrupted. It is a funny solo, to play without moderation! Aïko Miyamoto
