Work & Edition Details
Robin Robin was written for, and recorded by, soprano Belinda Evans with accompanist Stephen Marquiss, in order to help raise funds for Yeovil Hospital's Flying Colours Appeal. The first performance took place at Martock Church, 21 December 2013. The song is a quirky and offbeat look at a robin's approach to life and the seasons, inspired by a resident of the lyricist Jennifer Henderson's garden in Berkshire. The mood is light-hearted, warm and festive; the singer provides a commentary whilst the robin too has its say...
