Work & Edition Details
The String Quartet in A major, op. 1 is Menager's graduation work presented in 1860 at the "Conservatorium der Musik in Coeln," now the Cologne Musikhochschule. There he studied with Ferdinand von Hiller, the director of the then still new institution. The string quartet is one of Menager's most popular works.
