Van Parys's Résonances immerses the listener in a world of surprising sound colours, reverberating chords and rich resonances. A variety of piano techniques and the use of straws and bolts to generate new sounds, bring to life a miraculous sound universe. Commissioned for Competition of Ghent Rotary Club Obligatory piece for all participants The composition uses two kinds of piano “preparation”. One should be done before playing, the other whilst playing the piece.
