Work & Edition Details
The composition refers to a poem by Angelus Silesius: „I myself must be sun, and with my rays I must paint the colourful sea of deitiy“. One main theme which is based on disharmonics leads through the work. The theme is introduced by the trumpet and in the following it appears in many different variations.
