Work & Edition Details
Reinhard Schwarz-Schilling created the opening music (and Zum Beschluss) for 3 trp., 4 hnr., 3 pos. & tuba as a commissioned work for the ceremonial opening of the 78th German Catholic Day in Berlin in 1958. This work was heard for the second time in 1964 in the Waldbühne for the Berlin Diocesan Day. He placed the composition under the motto "Our salvation the Lord", taken from the slogan for the Katholikentag "Unsere Sorge der Mensch - Unser Heil der Herr".
