Work & Edition Details
An evocative work that appeals various psychological levels. One first experiences the vowel “a” developing from the initially hummed singing, without verbal form. Then the singing assumes a polyphonic character, with the major triad sung on the word Kyrie. The major triad is an archetype symbolic of the plea for mercy. The dance-like Christe eleison stands out against the meditative Kyrie. – The work is recommended for choirs with high standards.
