Mauro Giuliani’s Grande Ouverture op. 61 is presented here in a newly engraved modern edition. It is one of his most celebrated works. It was first published in Milan in 1814. There is a splendid analysis of this piece by Claudio Maccari and Paolo Pugliese on Youtube, available in Italian and also in English, which examines the structure and the intentions of the piece.
