Work & Edition Details
“Ay Fernando mío” has words from the book of poems Los cantos del trovador by the Cadiz poet Francisco de Laiglesia y Darrac, Seville, 1809, in which this text is stanza 4 from the first Cantilena. The music is the first of the three Cantinelas del Trovador composed by Mariano Rodríguez de Ledesma on texts from that book.
