Work & Edition Details
The impressive organs in the redbrick churches of Lübeck inspired Michael Töpel. Further inspiration came from the portals of Strasbourg Cathedral. The fascinating sound architecture of the composition is a reflection of the colossal construction of that cathedral. Portal can be played on historical instruments as well as on modern instruments. Difficult.
