Work & Edition Details
I. Battle (position far apart) II. Drum Line (position within the square of the loudspeakers) III. Poem (Both players share one instrument) The live-electronics are used in the II. part of the operation. The speakers describe a square within which the instruments are placed. A patch in Max/MSP is available from the author. Two microphones connected to a computer via an audio interface and four loudspeakers with amplification are required. A reduced performance with two speakers is also possible. Drumline is a work commissioned by the duo Ma / Giovanos and was released on 30. August 2014 at the festival "Ankunft Neue Musik" in Berlin. Drumline is well suited for performances in large, multi-part rooms or outdoors.
