Work & Edition Details
Christian Kornmaul, regional trombone director in northern Germany, once announced the composition in a church concert as follows: "Take: 250ml Tomorrow Father Christmas will come, 200ml Come shepherds, add - every year again - a pinch of Silent Night, mix this gently with a pinch of Snowflakes, White Creepers, Daughter of Zion, I stand at your manger here and Come little children. Then pour 20ml of God's Son is Coming and Praise the Lord over the top. Finally, add a generous portion of Praise God, Christians, and garnish the whole thing with a little dust from the star over Bethlehem. This is the recipe for Jürgen Pfiester's Christmas cocktail. Hear for yourself whether we have forgotten an ingredient and whether they like the cocktail."
