Work & Edition Details
The title of the piece can probably be translated most aptly as "fleas on the run", and apart from the small semantic allusion to the dedicatee, this primarily characterises the main features of the piece, namely its lively rhythms and erratic motifs, which consistently continue into the leading of all five voices and, with incidentally quite traditional stylistics, determine the musical events to a large extent.
