This book of easy dances by Giuliani for guitar is a collection of his first easy pieces, from when he first arrived in Vienna as a young man. “Schneller! Schneller!” the young people called in that Vienna that was already crazy about dancing (Johann Strauss was six years old then). So when Giuliani first published easy pieces, it was dances that he composed. They are mostly easy in the sense that he often places the left hand high up on the fingerboard around the twelfth fret where the frets are close together and therefore easier to play than they are down at the first four or five frets, with many open strings in the bass. They are not boring: they should be played with rhythm and great vivacity. No fingering has been added. 36 pages.
