Work & Edition Details
Mauro Giuliani’s Variations and Polonaise for violin and guitar op. 24a are a wonderful work, as you can hear on Youtube in a splendid performance by Alexander Detisov (violin) and Miguel Trápaga (guitar). We know that Giuliani and the violinist Mayseder performed together in concerts, and perhaps this was one of the works which they played. The work was first published in Vienna in about 1812.
