Work & Edition Details
The forest resounds: the rustling of the wind in the treetops, multiplied by echoes, can increasingly rise to sonorous glissando melodic arches. The rustling of the leaves, the creaking of the branches, the dripping of the rain, the rumbling of the thunder with its lightning accents provide a natural percussion orchestra, and the pearly tones of the brook as well as the primal sounds of the birds and the other animals suggest melodies.
