Work & Edition Details
Commissioned by Clive Swansbourne for a recital at the 1990 Cheltenham Festival, the Blues in this work is based on the South African Anthem "Nkosi Sikele i Afrika" and the Stomp refers to the leaping rhythms of certain African "call and response" chants.
