Work & Edition Details
The two-movement composition (1. measured walking, 2. lively and cheerful) is in large parts double-choral: mostly the trumpets are set against the trombones, from which the title also results. The premiere took place at the composer's home in early 2000 as a birthday serenade for the composer's wife, Barbara Koerppen. The performers were a wind ensemble from the Hanover Music Academy under the direction of Prof. Siegfried Göthel.
