Work & Edition Details
The trio in three movements for violin, violoncello and piano was composed in 1986. It belongs to a group of instrumental compositions written in the second half of the 1980s. Like most of the pieces in this group of works, the trio is characterised by the fact that it develops an idiosyncratic conception of form without, however, abandoning the traditional claim to genre to which the title refers.
